CV
eDuCATION
I received a BA from The Evergreen State College with a focus on Psychology and Fine Art. I chose to balance these two subjects in order to give myself a deeper understanding of how people view and react to art on an emotional level. I have implemented this knowledge in my work as an art teacher and graphic designer.
STRENGTHS
My greatest strength is clear and concise communication. Communication is the foundation of all human interaction and I strive to be straightforward and transparent in all my communications. I also pride myself on being a hard worker and love finding new and more efficient ways to complete a task.
EMPLOYMENT
While studying at Evergreen I worked as an intern in the Art Room at the Hands on Children’s Museum in Olympia, WA. I have spent the last six years working as an Art Teacher at the Whole Earth Montessori school in Bothell, WA. In addition to teaching I’m always taking on new jobs as a Freelance Graphic Designer.
SKILLs
I am skilled with the following programs: Microsoft Office, Photoshop CC, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, DaVinci Resolve, Resolume Arena, OBS, and Ableton Live. I am proficient as a graphic artist, visual artist, typesetter, video editor, live streamer, and audio composer. I am also highly skilled in creating promotions on Facebook and Instagram.
EXPERIENCE
In addition to my work as an Artist and Art Teacher I am experienced as an Event Planner. I’ve helped put on and promote numerous events in the Seattle area, often managing teams of 5-15 people, overseeing artist payment, booking flights, and coordinating with venues. Most notably I organized all the visual artists for the 2015 Decibel Festival.
GOALs
Satisfaction is always my number one goal. I love working with a client to create the product that they have in their minds eye. Bringing dreams to reality through art is a beautiful experience that I really enjoy sharing with a client. To excite, amuse and capture the imagination is my job as an artist and I take this work very seriously, with a smile on my face.
